The Galaxy A13 sits a step above the A03 series in Samsung's 2022 entry-level range, offering three meaningful improvements: a 50MP quad camera (up from 13–48MP in the A03 range), 25W fast charging (versus 15W in the A03/A03s), and Samsung's own Exynos 850 processor — a more efficient 8nm chip compared to the third-party Unisoc T606 used in the A03. The 6.6-inch PLS LCD screen is marginally larger than the A12's 6.5-inch panel, and the screen replacement price of £49 reflects the slightly larger format.
The A13 also benefits from a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, which is entirely separate from the display assembly. This means screen replacements do not affect fingerprint registration — stored fingerprints remain intact after a screen swap, unlike the in-display optical sensors found in the A31, A41 and A42 5G. The A13's clip-on back cover (no adhesive) also makes battery access faster, typically reducing battery replacement time to under an hour.
