The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G brings together a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED 90Hz display, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, and Samsung's own Exynos 1280 — a 5nm chipset that is more efficient than the Dimensity 700 found in the A23 5G. The A33 5G also carries IP67 water resistance, making it one of the few mid-range phones to offer both 5G and dust/water protection. The Galaxy A33 5G represents a significant step up from the A23 5G series, combining a Super AMOLED 90Hz display with Samsung's own Exynos 1280 — a 5nm chip that outperforms the Dimensity 700 in sustained workloads and delivers better battery efficiency under 5G loads. The A33 5G also adds IP67 water and dust resistance, which is unusual at this price point. Screen replacement at £75 (standard) or £99 (original OEM) restores both the AMOLED display quality and the optical in-display fingerprint sensor functionality.
The in-display fingerprint sensor on the A33 5G works by emitting light through the AMOLED panel to scan the fingerprint — the sensor is physically part of the screen module. After any screen replacement, all stored fingerprints are cleared. We re-enrol at least one fingerprint and test the sensor response before the phone is returned. We also apply fresh adhesive during reassembly to maintain the IP67 rating as closely as possible after the repair.
