The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is the flagship of the 2022 A-series, featuring a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED 120Hz display, a 108MP quad camera, and a Snapdragon 778G chipset — the same processor used in the Galaxy S21 FE. Unlike the A53 5G's Exynos 1280, the Snapdragon 778G uses Qualcomm's architecture, offering better sustained gaming performance and a faster image signal processor for the 108MP camera. The Galaxy A73 5G sits at the top of Samsung's 2022 A-series range, and its key differentiators from the A53 5G are the 108MP main camera and the Snapdragon 778G processor. The 108MP sensor captures dramatically more detail than the A53 5G's 64MP — particularly in daylight — and the Snapdragon 778G's Qualcomm image signal processor handles the raw data from that sensor more efficiently than an Exynos equivalent. One important repair consideration unique to the A73 5G: unlike most of its predecessors, the A73 5G was one of the first Samsung A-series phones to remove the 3.5mm headphone jack entirely. USB-C becomes the sole audio and charging port, meaning the USB-C socket carries more daily wear. Charging port replacement costs £39.
